The 10th Annual Purpose and Passion in Pink! Luncheon, "Celebrating Life", will be held at the Greentree Country Club in New Rochelle, NY on October 27, 2024 at 12:30 PM ET. This year's event will again feature dynamic speakers, musical entertainment, and a special celebration of life for breast cancer survivors and their loved ones. Advance ticket purchase is required.

The Renewing Health Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization designed to increase the awareness of the fundamentals of healthy living in members of urban communities across the United States. Founded by Dr. Michael G. Knight, the Foundation works to achieve its purpose through community health literacy and awareness programming, and partnerships with external organizations working to improve the health of urban communities.
Purpose and Passion In Pink!
Empowering Women To Live Their Best Lives Through Breast Cancer Awareness
Launched in the spring of 2016, Purpose and Passion in Pink! is a faith-based community education program designed to increase the knowledge of breast cancer prevention, screening, and treatment through local community events for African-American and Latina women. This signature program of the Renewing Health Foundation is designed to increase knowledge of breast cancer prevention, screening, and treatment, and increase mammography screening rates, through local community events. These events include free community luncheons featuring leading breast cancer specialists and survivors, health fair presentations and seminars, and a micro-grant program to support local initiatives. Since the inception of this program, more than 1,000 women have benefited from this program, and over $30,000 has been raised for breast cancer awareness education.

The Purpose and Passion in Pink! Micro-Grant Program offers micro-grants of up to $750 to support breast health and breast cancer awareness educational activities, events, strategies or campaigns for African-American and Latina women in the New York Metropolitan area.

Dr. Michael G. Knight
Founder & President
Dr. Knight is a Physician, Healthcare Executive, and Non-Profit Leader in Minority Health Promotion. He founded the Renewing Health Foundation in 2012, and has lead the organization in its community empowerment efforts.
Dr. Travelle Ellis
Chair of the Board
Dr. Ellis is a healthcare industry leader in diversity and inclusion, and has been a member of the Renewing Health Foundation Board of Directors since 2012. She leads the advisory work of the Board to support foundation initiatives.
Mrs. Yvonne Knight
Program Coordinator
Mrs. Knight is a former corporate finance executive and co-founder of the Renewing Health Foundation's Purpose and Passion in Pink! Initiative. She leads the Women of Strength and Purpose, the foundation's breast cancer survivor network.
Ms. Monique Weatherly
Outreach Coordinator
Ms. Weatherly is a healthcare worker and supports the foundation's initiative by working with community partners to support local health initiatives. She is the manager of the foundation's community grant program.
